PSI applies the principles and goals of industrial hygiene for the anticipation, acknowledgment, evaluation, and control of physical, chemical, ergonomics, and biological risk factors that may cause disease, damage to health or welfare, or a major discomfort.
Evaluation of exposure to physical risks: noise, vibration, thermal stress, and ionizing and non-ionizing radiations.
Evaluation of exposure to chemical agents: non-regulated particles, solvents, pesticides, PAH, acid gases, metals, crystalline silica, asbestos, among others.
